Come explore my darling, the daring desert plains,

And speed on through dry country in orange and red trains.

We’ll eat sandwiches and let the crumbs all slip,

As we hurry down the board walk to catch an early ship.

And wake to find we’ve been flying with the gulls,

While over blue green ocean go the racing hulls.

And in the end we race over sand and ocean foam,

Just to reinforce the thought that the whole world is our home

Strange regards,

zu

  1. Zoe, This poem falls so lightly when read aloud – I especially love the line “And wake to find we’ve been flying with the gulls,” Your visual display is enchanting! Jilly πŸ™‚
