One Poem Every Day, Poetry

No. 217¿ “Cupcakes” – 11/8/16

Amidst brackish or heatherish way, under a typical blue,
I found water, sublimely blue, reminding me of what I once knew.
Pink cockatoos across yellow and magnanimous skies,
While houses slept by, harbouring lemons, pigeons, and pies.
